New York City, New York -- On September 25, 2025, ICE agents detained a man at the Federal Plaza immigration court building in lower Manhattan. Also present were the man's wife and daughter. The man's wife, Monica Moreta-Galarza, repeatedly pleaded with the officers to not take her husband while one of the officers simply repeated "adios" over and over. That same officer suddenly grabbed the woman and violently threw her to the floor, pinning and restraining her.
