Veracity: FALSE

Reality: Under U.S. federal law, illegal immigrants are not eligible for health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Medicare, or Medicaid. There is an exception for Medicaid reimbursements to hospitals for emergency care, as by law enacted by Ronald Reagan, hospitals cannot deny emergency care to anyone. ACA enhanced tax credits for all US citizens are set to expire at the end of 2025, and as part of negotiating to keep the government open, Democrats are demanding that these credits be extended.
