Reality: There is no war taking place in Illinois. The city of Chicago does not require a National Guard presence. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker have repeatedly stated that there is no national security threat in Chicago and federal troop deployments are a completely unnecessary escalation and provocation.
